On the advice of Bruce, the trip chair of Marin Audubon, Sarah & I went to the Gallinas Ponds near San Rafael today, and had a nice walk, with a good variety of birds, including two new ones for us.
The Gallinas Ponds were much larger than I expected, and we were happy to have enough trail to spend a couple of hours walking around. Except for an American Pipit, it was mostly the usual suspects, but a whole lot of them. In particular, some American White Pelicans and Common Goldeneyes let us get much better looks at them than we had previously.
The list du jour was a pretty good and long one!
