Six-word memoir meme

2008-02-2710 CommentsMemes

“Being active outdoors justifies fried food.”

Lori tagged me for a new meme in this post. It’s a six word memoir, inspired by Hemingway, who once bet ten dollars that he could sum up his life in six words. He came up with: For Sale: baby shoes, never worn.

Here are the meme rules:

1. Write your own six word memoir.
2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.
3. Link to the person who tagged you in your post and to this original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere.
4. Tag five more blogs with links.
5. And don’t forget to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play!

I now tag the following blogs: BFK Photography, A Passion For Nature, Expat’s Kitchen, Bird Light Wind, and Mary’s Corner of the World

That is so amazingly funny!!! Leave it to you to outclass me once again! 🙂 brilliant! p.s. I never thought of it that way but I’m totally willing to buy the premise of your memoir!

Thanks, I will play. 🙂 Like yours. I once thought about my epitaph on my headstone (if I were to be buried), I had to borrow GD words: “What a Long Strange Trip It’s Been.” or my own, “Okay, What’s Next?”

    This will be fun!

Bookbabie: thank /you/ for starting this fun meme! 🙂

Aullori: well, it’s not a competition, but I’m glad you liked it.

ExpatChef: Oh good – I look forward to your submission. You could do worse than a GD epitaph (so says this latter-day Haight-Ashbury hippie anyways 🙂

    Montucky: Thanks

Hi Adam – thanks for tagging me. I didn’t see this until Friday, and then my hard drive “fried.” I didn’t get back up and running until yesterday. So I will attempt to come up with a six-word memoir meme in the next 24 hours. This looks like fun – and a bit of a challenge.
