From the archives: Bodie Wheel

2008-10-179 CommentsPhotography, Travel

I have not been out and about very much as of late, so in the interest of keeping my blog more active, I will be “filling in” with photos from my archives – please accept my apologies in advance if I repost anything I have previously blogged.

A beautifully composed image and the B/W colors accentuates the focus on the slanty wheel very well

As long as you dish out photos like that – go ahead and rob your archives blind!
    Cheers, Klaus

That’s a cool shot, Adam. If only you would have had time it would have been cool to write about Bodie and its history. But it’s been said that a picture is worth a thousand words…so we’ll consider it accompanied by a thousand words. ;o)

Oh man, don’t feel bad about “filling in” — because you have brought us this great wheel from one of my favorite places on the planet — Bodie…

Haven’t been there for years, but when my aunt and uncle introduced me to Bodie when I was a kid, I was instantly in love…

I expect that the road to Bodie is just as horrible as ever, and I remember Bodie before they had done much “arresting of the decay”, but I sure would like to go there again…

Very powerful image. I’m not usually a fan of B&W but this one really works here. Brilliant job.

Thanks, folks! Bodie is a photographer’s paradise, moody, desolate, decrepit.
