What a great shot. I love images of fog rolling in over the hills.

Such images of tranquil landscapes bring a lot of happiness especially for blokes like me who love the wilderness

    Donald: Thanks!

Scienceguy: Me too – it’s one of my favorite landscape subjects. Luckily, living in SF, there are ample opportunities to enjoy such views.

    Thomas: Thank you

Montucky: Thanks – it’s not apparent from the photo, but a few million people live under the blanket of fog visible here.

Great image 🙂 I always like the fog rolling over the hills too.

I don’t know if you’ve been on it at the right time, but going west on 92 from San Mateo towards 280, the fog seems to just cling to and crawl over the hills behind Crystal Springs Reservoirs, kinda like syrup on pancakes. The last two times I was in that area at the right time, I didn’t have a camera with me.

Thanks, Red! I have indeed seen many beautiful scenes of fog rolling over the Santa Cruz mountains into Crystal Springs Reservoir (I used to commute several days a week from western SF to Menlo Park, so spent a bit of time on Hwy 280). Like you, I’ve never had a camera, nor anywhere to pull over, when I’ve seen them.
