July 5, 2010:
The day after the 4th of July at the cabin, we decided to go for our annual wildflower walk at the Bradley Grove in nearby Calaveras Big Trees State Park. Unlike the two other grove hikes in the park, this one does not have any Giant Sequoias, but rather is a grove dedicated to a patron of the park, and is second-growth mixed pine and such.
4 July 2010:
Sarah & I spent the 4th of July at our cabin in the Sierras, and since Sarah had a bit of a cold, we decided to take a long drive, rather than hike.
The family cabin
Sarah & I spent Memorial Day with her cousin and his lovely family near the little town of Willits in Northern California, and I was surprised to see a great many wildflowers still in bloom as we walked around their property.
